About Ilona Cats

I live in Downham Market in the beautiful Norfolk countryside

I bred my first litter (siamese) in 1967 and have been breeding under the Ilona prefix since 1968. I originally bred siamese (including Ch Ilona Hidden Gold, Ch Ilona Firefly and an Irish red point champion whose name, I am embarrassed to say, I can't remember - it was a long time ago!) and later persians and now breed British shorthairs, siamese and selkirk rex.

I don't keep a lot of breeding stock. At the moment I have two British blue queens, two selkirk rex and one siamese and, next year, hope to have another British white.

I have five British white neuters, including Premier Ilona Laurent and Premier Ilona Cassiopeia which I bred. I also have Jade, a neutered white domestic shorthair.

My daughter has a small rescue shelter and on her page I have included pictures of some of the cats and kittens she rehomed last year.
